This new logotype looks fine for me, especially the typo. I like it pretty much. I have one problem with the logo: The earth globe placed in the front of the letter "D".

We have here the logo of the winter Olympic games in 2014. The Russian city of Sochi has been chosen to host the 2014 Games. The logo is clean, the blue, red and white symbolize the Russian flag and i believe the white star represents a snowflake.
